Support St Mark
In these economically trying times it may be a bit more difficult to find ways to help out the important causes that you wish to support, including St Mark.
Luckily, there are some ways to contribute financially to St Mark, that involve no additional outlay of direct funds and are connected to simple things that we probably all do on a daily basis. Each time you use the following services, St Mark will receive a small cash donation!
Please consider using these services:
- St Mark Scrip program- Scrip is “substitute money”. You purchase gift cards for various merchants (Fred Meyer, Best Buy, Home Depot, and MANY more stores, restaurants, and services) through St Mark, and the vendors donate a percentage of your purchase back to St Mark. For example, you purchase a $100 gift card from Fred Meyers to use for your normal grocery shopping. When you use your card at Fred Meyers, the store returns 4% back to St Mark. The percentage earned varies for each vendor. The highest percentage is 43% from Krispy Kreme Donuts. Orders are ordinarily filled out twice a month at church following Sunday worship and the gift cards ordered are distributed the following Sunday. The order form can be found HERE, and can be returned to the church on Sunday or mailed to St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 9750 SW Terwilliger Blvd. Portland, OR 97219, with a check made payable to “St. Mark” and noted for “Scrip Order.”
- ISearchIGive- When you use iSearchiGive to search the web, St Mark receives $0.02 per search. The money comes from advertisers, so it costs you nothing, and it’s completely free for you and St Mark. Donation checks are mailed to the church every month. While the search engine is not Google, it is VERY capable for most all your daily needs. To use this service, you will need to go to http://isearch.igive.com/, and Select “St Mark Presbyterian Church” as your choice of recipient. After that one-time selection, you need only use ISearchIGive as your search provider of choice.
- IGive.com is a way that you can make purchases over the Internet and have a percentage of your sales go to St Mark. Similar to the Scrip program, using this option you make purchases from an even larger pool of retailers. For details please see Igive.com.
